Then the different Networks will be presented: the High Performance Network and the Conventional Network, their different specializations and how they can combined Spanish\u2019s gauges thanks to national technological developments.<\/p>\n<p>Once the speech is focused, the operations of the railway infrastructure will be described, and how to manage trains running on it, the specialization of lines, the number of trains, speeds, stop stations and operations needs. Furthermore, as traffic has to be harmonized with preventive maintenance, and how, any incidence has to be minimized trough corrective maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic management concepts as Train Path and Line Capacity will be described and also how these concepts depend on infrastructure characteristics, security systems and technological components. Besides it will be shown the process established to plan maintenance and construction works in high traffic density lines.<\/p>\n<p>As the Command Post of the East region is located in Valence, we will focus on the Mediterranean Corridor. This line, communicates important regions of the Spanish East, used by both passenger trains of long distance (speed and punctuality is excepted) with middle-distance traffic (with more stops) and freight traffic, because it is an economically very active area and densely populated.
